Singer Bill Kaulitz(18) of germany’s most successful rock band “Tokio Hotel”(DDM) has to go through a surgery of his larynx!
The doctors diagnosed a cyst on one of his vocal chords, that (the cyst) has to be removed immediately. Without a surgery his voice could be affected so strongly that he would never be able to sing again.
The completely sold out Europe-tour with concerts in Italy, Sweden, Slowenia, Serbia, Finnland, Danmark, Norway and a show in Dortmund have to be cancelled.

"Bill has already been in supervision of doctors in the beginning of last week, because of laryngitis", says TH-producer and manager David Jost. “A further examination showed that a nub has developed on one of the vocal chords, which makes it impossible for the laryngitis to heal. The cyst has to be removed in a surgery this week.”
How can such a cyst develop?
“Mostly a nub on the vocal chords, a so called singers' knot, develops because of an overstraining of the voice,” says Doctor Julia Vent from the University-Hospital Cologne. “If a singer sings too loud or with wrong pressure such a nub can develop. That is encouraged, if the vocal chords are already affected by an infection. A cyst in the larynx is a small bubble filled with liquid. The surgery is made by inserting a pipe through the mouth. With help of a microscope the cyst is cut out with tiny, sharp scissors.”
After the surgery Bill has to go through a several-weeks long rehabilitation, to avoid long-term damage.
Producer David Jost: “We really hope, that the fans understand that Bill’s health has to be in the foreground.”

Laringita este produsa de inflamatia, iritarea sau folosirea excesiva a corzilor vocale ce apartin laringelui.
Unele din cele mai comune cauze sunt:
- infectiile tractului respirator superior, in special viroza respiratorie (raceala) sau gripa
- folosirea excesiva a corzilor vocale prin vorbitul indelung si cu voce tare, prin tipat sau cantat
- alergiile
- expunerea la substante iritante, cum ar fi fumul sau substantele chimice
Simptomele cronice sunt cele care dureaza doua saptamani sau chiar mai mult si ne indica o afectare mult mai severa a corzilor vocale, decat o simpla inflamatie, cum ar fi afectarea nervilor, aparitia unor leziuni sau a unor polipi la nivelul laringelui si o posibila aparitie a unor zone indurate, asa numitii noduli laringieni.
De cele mai multe ori, laringita este consecinta unei infectii prezente la nivelul tractului respirator superior, cum ar fi viroza respiratorie. Modalitatile de tratament la domiciliu similare cu cele pentru raceala, cum ar fi repausul vocal si o buna hidratare, sunt de obicei tot ceea ce este necesar. Daca aparitia laringitei se datoreaza unei utilizari prelungite si excesive a vocii, repausul vocal impreuna cu o serie de alte masuri de ingrijire la domiciliu, reprezinta tratamentul cel mai bun. Totusi, daca problemele persista sau daca revin constant, trebuie avut in vedere si un antrenament special pentru voce.
NODUL AL CORZILOR VOCALE
Este o mica leziune rotunda, situata la marginea unei corzi vocale, care rezulta de cele mai multe ori dintr-un surmenaj al vocii. Tratamentul lui consta in repausul vocal, asociat cu o reeducare ortofonica a vocii. In caz de recidiva, trebuie avuta in vedere fie ablatia chirurgicala, fie cea cu laser.

Bill Kaulitz de la Tokio Hotel se opereaza
2008-03-25Descoperirea unui chist pe corzile vocale ale lui Bill Kaulitz prelungeste si mai mult perioada de intrerupere a turneului european al formatiei Tokio Hotel, informeaza musica.aol.com, citand publicatia germana Bild.
`Bill este sub observatie medicala de saptamana trecuta, cand i s-a descoperit o infectie a corzilor vocale`, a declarat David Jost, producator si manager al formatiei.
El a adugat ca in urma unei investigatii mai amanuntite s-a descoperit ca pe corzile vocale ale lui Bill Kaulitz s-a Format un chist care `trebuie extirpat chiar in aceasta saptamana`.
Daca operatia nu va avea loc in cel mai scurt timp posibil, vocea cantaretului german este in pericol. Dupa interventia chirurgicala, Bill va fi in convalescenta timp de cateva saptamani, dupa care va urma o terapie de reabilitare.
Prin urmare, toate concertele Tokio Hotel programate inainte de 8 aprilie au fost anulate.
`Speram ca fanii numerosi ai formatiei sa fie intelegatori si sa-si dea seama ca sanatatea lui Bill trebuie sa aiba prioritate`, a mai spus David Jost.
